Further Unpacking of Matthew 1:1

In Matthew 1:1, we read: βίβλοσ γενέσεωσ or the "book of the generations." In Genesis 2:4, we read אלה תולדת, "these are the generations." The word for "generations" stems from the root, ילד. It is important to remember that YLD or ילד is translated in the Septuagint both with the "γεν" and γενν" words. In my opinion, both the "γεν" and γενν" verbs look back to the root YLD or ילד. See Genesis 4:18 for instance. This would mean that in Romans 1:3 where Paul writes, γεωουμένου εκ Δανιδ, this harkens once again back to ילד.
